Driving along this highway provides travellers with amazing views of the desert and the Sea of Cortez shoreline.  It is the connecting line between many of the world's top beaches and most luxurious resorts. Beaches:

Beaches along this stretch are numerous, varied, and stunning.  There is a beach suitable for whatever you are looking to do.

Playa Santa Maria (Santa Maria Beach)

This beach is found next to the Hotel Twin Dolphin.  Found in a peaceful protected cove, this beach is horseshoe shaped with sand that resembles the color and consistency of pink rice.  The area is a protected marine sanctuary perfect for snorkeling or simply relaxing.

Playa Bahia Chileno (Chileno Beach)

Located next to Hotel Cabo San Lucas is Chileno Bay and Chileno Beach, an area known for its snorkeling and diving and yet more stunning views.

Playa Palmilla (Palmilla Beach)

A cove protects this beach located by the Hotel Palmilla, an amazing area to lie on the beach and tan, snorkel, or watch the local pelicans.  A dive shop rents out diving and snorkelling equipment for those looking for some adventure in the bay's water.

Play Acapulquito (Old Man's Beach)

Well known in the surfing world, this beach is a surfer's paradise, hosting many surfing competitions throughout the year.  The surf is ideally suited for long-boarders.  While swimming is possible, it is necessary to keep one eye fixed on the surfers.

Golf

 As a 27-hole golf resort, Puerto Los Cabos offers three unique golf courses designed by legendary golfers Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman.  Seventy percent of the golf course offers stunning views of the Sea of Cortez.

The Norman Course is a 3,590-yard, par-36 course with an elevation change exceeding 400 feet, beginning in the desert foothills and moving towards the Sea of Cortez.

The Nicklaus I Course is a 3,758-yard, par-36 course, which also begins in the desert foothills before moving towards the Sea of Cortez, features rippling fairways and sculpted bunkers, with the 5th and 6th holes naturally carved into the shoreline.

The third course, the Nicklaus II course, a 3,436-yard, par-36 course, is the newest of the three courses, taking advantage of even more dramatic breathtaking views than the first two courses.
